The history of Cubic Zirconia can be dated back to 1892. One of the reasons CZ jewelry hasn’t been very popular until now is because it was the only form of zirconium oxide and was really rare. It was something people didn’t study nor did they care much for. That was until 1899 when two German mineralogists began studying the material. Throughout history many diamond-look-alikes have been made, but none of them come close enough to actually resemble a diamond, except for Cubic Zirconia.

Learning about the history of something can make it that more meaningful to you and that much more valuable. I have many friends who wouldn’t wear Cubic Zirconia because they assumed it was useless, but when you explain that Cubic Zirconia is real than they seem to change their minds about these stones. You have to remember that diamonds are found in mines, men and women risk their lives to find these stones. Cubic Zirconia is a man-made stone.
Diamonds can be made into fancy shapes, it takes a bigger diamond and it’ll cost more money.
Cubic Zirconia can easily be made into fancy shapes and special colors that you can’t find in mines. Apple green, orange, teal, Swiss blue, and several other colors. You can find them at www.syntheticgems.org. They also offer stones that change colors.
One of my favorite stones from this site is the Mystic Topaz:
www.syntheticgems.org also offers CZ Jewelry on their website. When you purchase from them you buy directly from their factory in Thailand or China. You also get to chose what size, shape, carat, and clarity you want.
Happy Shopping,
