The Hills has become one of the biggest reality shows on TV.  It’s constantly talked about in communities online and offline.  Each week we are left in suspense of who LC will be dating next week, will she and Audrina and Lo find a rhythm they can live with?  It’s a constant wonder.

For my Christmas shopping, Macy’s is one of my favorite places.  You can find great gifts and you can find gifts that match your family and friends personalities, something you know they will love.  Yes, I know that Macy’s can be on the more expensive side, but if you are a bargain shopper like me than you can really find some great deals at Macy’s. 

The best time to shop Macy’s is when they have a sale going on and believe me they have several sales a year and then it’s easy to afford something from this store.  Once it hits November I hate going into stores to shop, occasionally I will, but it’s nothing but a fight and a headache.  I love shopping online!

www.macys.com is one of the sites I shop online.  And right now Macy’s is celebrating 150 years and they are having a sale to blow your mind as well. 

The piece I am sharing with you today is the piece I have just bought for my mom for Christmas.  She has been dropping hints about wanting a horseshoe necklace.

It’s a beautiful necklace and there is no way, from looking at this necklace, that you can tell it’s fake.  To the naked eye it looks like real diamonds.

The history of Cubic Zirconia can be dated back to 1892.  One of the reasons CZ jewelry hasn’t been very popular until now is because it was the only form of zirconium oxide and was really rare.  It was something people didn’t study nor did they care much for.  That was until 1899 when two German mineralogists began studying the material.  Throughout history many diamond-look-alikes have been made, but none of them come close enough to actually resemble a diamond, except for Cubic Zirconia.

When looking for a piece for today’s blog post I wanted to find something different and unique.  I love jewelry that looks antique, something that looks like it could be a family heirloom passed down from one generation to the next.  When I stumbled upon this piece from www.jewelslovers.com I knew I had found the piece I was looking for.

They also have this bracelet without the emerald accent, but something about the small emerald stone surrounded by diamonds sets the bracelet off.  It looks like something royalty would have worn in the 1800’s.

This ring reminded me of the bangle bracelet I posted earlier in the week from www.emitations.com.  This ring can be found at www.pugster.com for only $14.99. 

This ring is also Celtic, meaning Irish.  In Ireland they believe in simple wedding rings, engagement rings, and promise rings.  This would be an example of that simplicity.  It would be great as any of the three.  A heart breaks, but a circle is a continuing line, representing a lasting love.
